Former Jhenaidah-1 MP Nayeb Ali Joarder arrested

Former MP Nayeb Ali Joarder of Jhenaidah-1 (Shailkupa) was arrested from Arappur Jamtala area of the district town in a case filed for sabotage.

The joint forces arrested him around 11:30 pm on Thursday (September 12).

Jhenaidah RAB-6 Camp commander Major Naim Ahmed said acting on an information that the MP Nayeb Ali is staying at his home in the area, the law enforcers conducted a drive and arrested him.

Earlier, Jhenaidah BNP office and district BNP president Advocate Abdul Majid's houses were torched and looted from a rally of Awami League on August 4. Two separate cases were filed in this regard. Nayeb Ali Joarder was accused in the cases.
