Trawler capsizes in Bay, fisherman dead

A fisherman died and four went missing after a fishing trawler, FB Roshida, carrying 23 fishermen, capsized near Laboni Point in the Cox's Bazar Sea on Friday afternoon.

The boat capsized after being caught in a storm.

The deceased fisherman is Mohammad Jamal, 37.

Tanvir Hossain, Magistrate of the Tourist Cell of the District Administration, confirmed the matter. 

According to Osman Gani, Senior-in-Charge of Sea Safe Lifeguard, the trawler capsized due to the storm and immediately carried out a rescue operation. One of the rescued, Jamal, was critically injured and declared dead after being taken to the hospital. The others are receiving medical treatment at the hospital.
