Former Home Minister’s son Jyoti arrested

Safi Mudassir Khan Jyoti, son of former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, has been arrested in a case filed with Ashulia Police Station.

He was arrested from the capital’s Uttara on Friday (September 13) night.

Ahmed Mueed, superintendent of police (SP) of Dhaka, confirmed the news.

He said, “Safi Mudassir Khan Jyoti has been arrested in a case filed with Ashulia Police Station for his alleged involvement in the killing during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.”

Next course of legal steps will be taken in this regard, the SP said.
