Woman killed in Ashulia workers` clash

A female garment worker was killed and three others received injuries during a clash between two groups of workers in Ashulia's Zirabo area on Tuesday morning (September 17).

The deceased was known as Rokeya Begum, 35. She was an assistant sewing machine operator of Mascot Garments in Zirabo area.

Md Sarwar Alam, Police Super (SP) of Industrial Police-1 said two groups from Mascot and Radiance Garments locked into a clash around 9:00 am, leaving the female worker dead.

The injured two other people were sent to hospital, he added.
