Golam Dastagir Gazi put on 5-day remand

Former Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi has been put on a five-day remand in a murder case.
The court of Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Haider Ali granted the remand plea on Wednesday afternoon.
The case was filed for the murder of Parvej Hooasin, 23, who was shot dead during Anti-Discrimination Students Movement.
Earlier, the investigation officer of the case sought a 10-day remand.
He was detained on August 24 from his Shantinagar residence in the capital.
Golam Dastagir Gazi was elected MP from Narayanganj-1 constituency for straight four times with Awami League’s boat symbol.
