Bangladeshi killed in firing from Myanmar

A Bangladeshi fisherman was killed and two others were injured in firing from Myanmar in the Bay of Bengal.
The incident took place on Wednesday (October 9) afternoon in the Moulvir Shil confluence point of the Bay of Bengal, southwest of Saint Martin’s Island.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Teknaf Md. Adnan Chowdhury confirmed the incident at 2:10 pm on Thursday (October 10).
The deceased fisherman was identified as Md Osman, son of Bachu Mia, while the identities of the injured could not be known yet.
Bullets fired from Myanmar hit a fishing trawler in the Bay, approximately 50 kilometers south of the Saint Martin’s Island, leaving Osman dead and two others injured, said UNO Adnan Chowdhury.
