3 UPDF men shot dead in Khagrachhari

Three activists of the United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) were shot dead by miscreants in Panchhari of Khagrachhari on Wednesday morning (October 30).

The deceased were known as Sijan Chakma, Shashan Tripura, and Jayen Chakma.

The incident took place in Shanti Ranjan Para of Latiban union around 10:00am.

Panchhari police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Jasim confirmed the matter.

In a statement, UPDF said a group of armed terrorists stormed the area and attacked UPDF members, leaving the three people dead on the spot.

Angya Marma, a district level organizer of UPDF said protesting the killing, a dawn to dusk hartal will be observed in Khagrachhari on Thursday.
