2 brothers lynched over suspicion of robbery in C’ganj

Two brothers were beaten to death by angry locals on suspicions of robbery at Bholahat of Chapainawabganj on Wednesday night (October 30).
The deceased were known as Jahangir and Yakub Ali. They were sons of Habibur Rahman, hailed from Mannumor area of the upazila.
Locals said that riding a van, some villagers were returning to Bholahat from Rahanpur at night. Meanwhile, robbers snatched ornaments and cash from them. At one stage, hearing the screaming the victims, locals rushed to the spot and caught two suspected robbers.
Later, the two suspected robbers were lynched at the spot.
Chapainawabganj police super Rezaul Karim confirmed the matter.
