Dawn-to-dusk Hartal underway in Khagrachhari

A dawn-to-dusk hartal called by United Peoples Democratic Front (UPDF) is being observed in Khagrachhari Thursday (October 31).

Long-route bus communication was suspended due to the blockade.

Meanwhile, picketing was reported in some suburban areas of the district.

Khagrachhari Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Baten Mridha said additional police forces were deployed in key points areas to avert any untoward incidents.

Earlier, three members of United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) were shot dead by some miscreants at Santi Ranjan Para in Panchari upazila of Khagrachhari district on Wednesday.
