Daulatdia-Paturia ferry services halted due to fog

Ferry services on the Daulatdia-Paturia route on the Padma River remained suspended since Tuesday morning (December 10) due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Daulatdia Ghat Deputy General Manager (Commerce) Md. Salam Hossain, said the services were suspended at 6 am owing to poor visibility.

Ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route will resume once the fog clears.

17 ferries provide services on this river route. Although the ferries are closed, there is no additional traffic pressure in the ghat area, he added.
