2 killed in gas cylinder blast in Lakshmipur

Two people were killed and two others burnt as the gas cylinder in a bus exploded at a refuelling station in Lakshmipur Sadar upazila early Wednesday (December 11).

The deceased were identified as Abul Kalam, 21 and Md Rubel, 35. The injured were identified as Abul Hossain, 50 and Nayeem, 24.

Police and eyewitnesses said the gas cylinder exploded when the bus was taking fuel from one Green Leaf Filling Station in Muktiganj area early today, leaving two people dead and two others injured.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lakshmipur Sadar Police Station Abdul Monnaf confirmed the incident.

Earlier on October 14, three people were killed and nine others sustained injuries in a gas cylinder blast in a bus in the district.
