Adviser Mahfuz Alam
Adviser Mahfuz Alam has said that Awami League will not be allowed to participate in the upcoming nation elections in any way.
“Fair elections will be held soon through a democratic process. In the elections, BNP, Jamaat and other parities will participate in a positive competition and will form a new government. All those who are pro-Bangladesh will participate in the polls. The fascist Awami League will not be allowed to participate in the elections in any way”, he said.
Mahfuz Alam made the remarks at a road meeting in Hajiganj of Chandpur on Saturday (January 25) afternoon.
On his way to Ramganj in Lakshmipur, the adviser was greeted by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the National Citizens Committee in Hajiganj.
“Our struggle is for the establishment of a stable democratic Bangladesh. It’s a fight to free Bangladesh from Awami fascism. If the Awami League returns to power, fascism will return with it,” he said.
"On this day in 1975, Sheikh Mujib established BAKSAL and attempted to thwart all democratic movements in Bangladesh," he said.
"Prior to the establishment of BAKSAL, he enforced thousands of opposition leaders to disappear," Mahfij Alam said, adding that "at that time, thousands of people were forcibly disappeared, murdered and women were raped by the Awami League men."
"Therefore, we want the rule of Sheikh Mujib and Sheikh Hasina never come back in Bangladesh," he said.
