The temperature in Dinajpur has dropped to a minimum of 10°C at 6am on Sunday (January 26).
Tofazzal Hossain, in-charge of the Dinajpur met office, reported that the temperature in the region has been consistently dropping. The minimum temperature recorded on Sunday was 10°C.
At 6am, the humidity was at 95%, with an average wind speed of 3km per hour, he said.
Yesterday at the same time, the minimum temperature was recorded at 9.6°C and the humidity was at 96%.
Meanwhile, the intensity of winter has disrupted public life in the district, with the drop in temperature making the cold more pronounced.
Additionally, fog is settling in from early morning to noon, and the chilly winds are further intensifying the cold.
The cold weather has been particularly difficult for low-income, laboring individuals.
