Pilots need permission before flying drone in Ijtema venue

No one will be allowed to fly drone and drone cameras without permission adjacent to the Ijtema venue in Tongi of Gazipur, said a police statement.
Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) issued a notification in this regard on Sunday (February 2).
According to the statement, Bishwa Ijtema 2025 is underway at the Ijtema Maidan under the Tongi West Police Station of Gazipur Metropolitan Police. The Bishwa Ijtema attracts lakhs of devotees from home and abroad. Considering the security of devotees and overall security measures, everyone is requested not to fly or use any other electronic devices, including drones and drone cameras, within two kilometers from February 2 to February 18 without the permission of the Gazipur Metropolitan Police Special Branch (CTSB).
Legal action will be taken against those who will violate the order, read the notice.
Earlier, around 50 people were injured in a commotion at the Biswa Ijtema ground after a drone fell from the sky, causing panic among the devotees.
