2 killed as train hits truck at Dinajpur rail crossing

Two people died as a train rammed into a truck in Birampur upazila of Dinajpur early on Monday (February 2).

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Birampur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mamtazul Haque confirmed the matter.

Quoting locals, the OC said that Dhaka-bound Ekta Express train hit stone-laden a truck in the area around 1:00 am, leaving the truck driver's assistant dead on the spot and injured the truck driver.

Later, the injured was taken to hospital where he died under treatment.
