Indefinite strike at petrol pumps in northern region

Petrol pump owners and workers in the Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions have called an indefinite strike.
Due to the strike, fuel crisis is seen from this morning (5 February).
Rajshahi Division's Petrol Pump Owners-Workers Unity Council, announced the strike in response to an eviction drive carried out by the Roads and Highways Department without prior notice.
The abrupt fuel supply disruption has severely impacted transportation, leaving many vehicles stranded.
The protesters said that the strike will continue until their demands are met.
Following the issue, Saiful Islam, a leader of the Rangpur Petrol Pump Owners Association, said, "The roads and transport authorities in Naogaon have evicted several petrol pumps without any notice. This is completely unfair. Our business is under threat. The oil pump strike will continue until justice is served.
