Gazipur OC to be withdrawn, 16 arrested 

A total of 16 people involved in the attack on students in Gazipur have been arrested.

Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Nazmul Karim Khan also announced the withdrawal of the OC for his negligence in his duty. 

He said, “I apologize on behalf of the police force for the incident that happened last night. I admit my failure. No attacker will be spared. Actions will be taken against them who are responsible”.

The police commissioner said this while attending the anti-discrimination student movement protest program on Rajbari Road in front of the Gazipur District Commissioner’s office on Saturday (February 8) afternoon.
