Farmer killed in elephant attack in Rangamati

A farmer was killed in an attack by a wild elephant at Kaitakpara village under Rajasthali upazila of Rangamati district on Thursday (February 27).

The deceased was identified as Usching Marma, 45, son of late Kyao Marma, a resident of the village.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rajasthali Police Station Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury said farmer Usching Marma was attacked by a wild elephant in the Kaitakpara area this morning while he was going to his farm land. He died on the spot.
