Rohingya camp leader hacked to death` in Cox`s Bazar

A Rohingya community leader, locally known as "head majhi", was hacked to death at a refugee camp in Ukhiya upazila of Cox's Bazar yesterday night (March 4).

The deceased was known as Mohammad Nur, a head majhi at Rohingya camp number 20 in Ukhiya.

Quoting locals, Ukhiya police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Arif Hossain said a group of miscreants attacked him with lethal weapon around 8:30 pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police believe the murder was a result of personal enmity.
