Fire at Aminbazar Power Grid in Savar

A fire that broke out at the Aminbazar 400/132 KV Substation in Savar on Tuesday morning was brought under control after two hours.

Due to the grid fire, the electricity supply was cut off in the whole area.

Earlier, the fire originated at 7:15 am. Later, nine firefighting units brought the blaze undert control at 9:15am.

Inspector of Fire Service and Civil Defence media cell, Anwarul Islam confirmed the matter.

Sijan Ahmed, Assistant General Manager (Operation and Maintenance) of Palli Bidyut Samity-3, said, "Due to the fire, power supply has been cut off from 7:15 am from Aminbazar to Hemayetpur Leather Industry City and Shimultala area of Savar."
