Former Minister Anisul Haque slapped on court premises

Former Law Minister Anisul Huq was slapped reportedly by several lawyers present on the Narayanganj court premises on Monday (28 April).

The court placed the former minister on a four-day remand in the murder case of Hafiz Md Sulaiman who was killed on 5 August last year.

A team of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) sought a seven-day remand in the court of Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Moinuddin Kadir in connection with the murder.

After the hearing, Anisul was sending the central jail and at that several lawyers assaulted him. 

Police quickly formed a security cordon and placed him in the prison van to send him back to jail.
