Child killed in explosion while playing with crude bomb in Jashore

A child was killed and two others were injured in an explosion of a crude bomb at their house in Jashore on Monday (May 19).

The victim named Khadija, 4, died on the way to Dhaka around 11:00 am.

Family sources said that that the children three children - Sajib Hossain, 6, Khadija Khatun, 4, and Ayesha Khatun, 3, were playing in a field near their house around 8:30am. While playing, Khadija picked up an object (cocktail) that looked like a ball. When she brought it home and played with two other siblings, it exploded.

Currently, Sajib and Ayesha are undergoing treatment at the women's surgery ward of Jashore Sadar Hospital.

Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (Probe) Kazi Babul Hossain confirmed the matter.
