Sylhet road crash: Death toll rises to 3

The death toll from collision between two passenger buses in Nahubal upazila of Sylhet rose to three as another victim dies on Tuesday morning (May 20).

Of the deceased two were known as Towkir Hasan, son of Sultan Uddin, and Abul Kalam, son of Siddique Mia.

Shaistaganj highway police station Officer-in-Charge (ATM) Mahmudul Haque said that a Real Coach Service bus heading from Sylhet to Dhaka collided with an Al Mobaraka Paribahan bus heading in the opposite direction during heavy rain at 2:30 pm on Monday. The accident left two people dead on the spot and injured 11 others.

Later, the injured were sent to district sadar hospital where another one died under treatment.
