KUET’s interim vice chancellor resigns

Professor Dr Md Hazrat Ali
Interim vice chancellor of the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) Professor Dr Md Hazrat Ali has resigned.
He resigned after 18 days of appointment.
Registrar of the university Engineer Md Anisur Rahman Bhuiyan confirmed the matter on Thursday (May 22).
Professor Dr Md Hazrat Ali was appointed as the interim vice chancellor of KUET on May 1.
The government took the decision after students had continued a movement for about two months.
He was appointed to the post with the approval of the President and Chancellor, in accordance with Sections 10 (1) and 10 (3) of the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology Act, 2003.
Hazrat Ali was asked to perform routine duties for an interim period until a full-time vice-chancellor is appointed at the university.
He was serving at the civil engineering department of the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET).
