National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Organiser (southern region) Hasnat Abdullah has warned “If you hold the government hostage, no good result will come. You did not have the courage to question the fascist government.”
He said, “If you threaten this government in front of the people and obstruct the government’s reform efforts, remember that the people will find an alternative.”
The NPC leader said this while talking to newsmen before visiting to different areas of Chattogram city on Monday.
Hasnat questioned their shifting stance, saying, “No one dared to resign before 5 August challenging Sheikh Hasina’s authority. Why are those same officials now refusing to cooperate with the new administration?”
Criticising the bureaucracy’s role under the previous regime, he said, “Had the fascist Awami League remained in power, many of you would have continued to serve loyally. But now, when a new government initiates reforms, you threaten resistance. The people will not hesitate to find your alternatives.”
NCP Senior Joint Member Secretary Tasnim Zara, Joint Member Secretary Mir Arshadul Haque, joint chief organisers Mahmuda Alam Mitu and Md Ataullah, and Organiser Arman Hossain also addressed the gatherings.
