Momtaz remanded for 4 days

A court in Manikganj has given police four days to question former MP Momtaz Begum in their custody in connection with two cases, including a four-murder case filed in Singair.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate court justice Sadbir Yasir Ahsan Chowdhury passed the order on Tuesday noon (May 27).
Earlier, at approximately 8:30am, Momtaz was brought to the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court from the Kashimpur Jail to attend her scheduled hearings in the case.
Manikganj Court Police Inspector Md. Abul Khair Mia said, "Mumtaz Begum was produced before the court today for a regular hearing in a murder case in Gabindal area of Singair upazila. After the hearing in that case, the judge sent her on a four-day remand."
