Selina Hayat Ivy sent to jail after remand

Former Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) mayor Selina Hayat Ivy was sent to jail by a court after two days of remand.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Shamsur Rahman passed the order on Thursday morning (May 29).

The court police Inspector Qayum Khan said that the police took the former mayor on a two-day remand in the Siddhirganj’s Minarul Islam murder case. After questioning her, she was taken to court and sent back to Kashimpur Central Women's Jail.

Ivy was arrested in the early hours of May 5 in connection with the murder case and was later sent to jail following a court order.
