BSF pushes in 14 people thru Khagrachhari border

Border Security Force (BSF) has pushed in 14 people through the Matiranga border in Khagrachhari district.

The incident took place early Friday through a mango orchard of Taindong union.

Later, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained them.

According to detained individuals, they were arrested in Haryana state of India. Later, they handed over to BSF, who later sent them to Bangladesh.

Khagrachhari Deputy Commissioner (DC) A B M Iftekharul Islam Khandaker confirmed the incident and said that the detainees include women and children and they have been taken into custody. They are Bangla speaking Muslims.

It is worth noting that BSF pushed in 118 individuals in four separate incidents across various borders in Khagrachhari's Ramgarh, Matiranga, and Panchhari upazila since May 7.
