3 killed as microbus hits truck in Tangail

Three people, including a man and his two sons, were killed and three others injured when a microbus hit a truck stationed in Korati bypass area in Basail upazila of Tangail district.

The accident occurred on Dhaka-Tangail-Jamuna Bridge Highway in Korati bypass area of the upazila around 9 am on Tuesday (June 3).

The deceased were identified as Amjad Hossain, 40, and his two sons— Ratul and Atul.

Basail Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jalal Uddin said the accident took place when a microbus hit hard a truck from behind, stationed on Dhaka-Tangail-Jamuna Bridge Highway, leaving three people, including a man and his two sons, dead on the spot and three others seriously injured.

However, the truck and microbus have been seized, the OC said.
