7,000 kg of curd, sweets seized from potato cold storage 

About 7,000 kg of curd and sweets have been seized from a potato cold storage in Rangpur city. 

The National Consumer Rights Protection Department has fined the cold storage authority and the owner of the storage company Tk 2 lakh in this incident. 

The curd and sweets were stored in the cold storage for sale during Eid, said Brigadier General Humayun Qayyum, commander of the army’s 72 Infantry Brigade, which  conducted the operation.

The Department of Consumer Rights Protection and the army conducted a joint operation at the Mainakuti Cold Storage in Rangpur city at around 11:30 pm on Wednesday (June 4).
