3 dengue patients die in Barguna in 24 hours

Dengue claimed three more lives in Barguna district in the 24 hours till Thursday (June 12).

Papri Begum, 65, from the district town died around 7:30 pm in Jatrabari on the way to Dhaka.

Earlier on Wednesday, Gosai Das, 58, from Thanapara area of Barguna Pourashava died around 7:00 pm in Barguna General Hospital.

Barguna sadar hospital’s residential medical officer (RMO) Tazkia Siddiqui told risingbd that the situation is getting worse. The number of elderly patients losing their lives is higher.

Barguna Civil Surgeon Dr. Abul Fattah said three people lost their lives due to dengue infection in the last 24 hours. Two of them died at Barguna General Hospital. A woman named Papri Begum died in Jatrabari area on the way to Dhaka.
