Youth shot dead in Rangamati

An indigenous youth was shot dead by unidentified terrorists in Raikhali union under Kaptai upazila Rangamati on Sunday (June 15).

The deceased was known as Abdul Hakim, 26, son of late Bahar Ali, hailed from Ghoniakhola area of Rakhail union.

Wishing anonymity, a dweller of the area said that some 9 to 10-armed people went to Fultali village around 11:30 am and opened fire aiming Abdul Hakim, leaving him dead on the spot.

Chandraghona police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Imrul Hasan said that we have visited the spot. It is still unknown who and why caused the incident.
