BSF pushes 20 more into Bangladesh through C’nawabganj border

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) pushed 20 more people into Bangladesh through Masudpur border in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district early Wednesday (June 18).
This brings the total number of people pushed into the district by the BSF to 45.
Three men, seven women and 10 children were among those pushed in.
Lt Col Fahad Mahmud Rinku, commandant of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Battalion-53, said a BGB patrol team detained the group while they were wandering in the Masudpur area early after being pushed in by the BSF.
They will be handed over to police after verification of their identities, said the BGB official.
On May 27 and June 3, the BSF pushed 17 and eight people, respectively, into the district.
