3 burnt in Keraniganj gas fire

Three people were injured in a fire caused by gas explosion at a house in Khejurbagh area of Keraniganj, on the outskirts of Dhaka, early today (June 22).

The injured are – Faruk Hossain, 40, his wife Sheuli, 30 and their eight-year-old son Al Samir.

The victim Faruk said we live with my family in a room on the ground floor of Pakija Bhavan in Khezurbagh area. At night, the whole family went to sleep as usual. This morning, I woke up hearing a loud noise of an explosion and saw that my wife Sheuli's hands and my son Sameer's body were burned.

Postogola Fire Service Senior Station Officer Abu Muhammad Sajedul Kabir Joarder said, "We inspected the damaged building after the explosion. The ground floor wall of the building collapsed due the explosion."
