Mob justice in any form unacceptable: Home Adviser

Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has that the manner in which mob justice was carried out during the detention of former CEC Nurul Huda is unacceptable. If any law enforcement officials were involved in the incident despite being present at the scene, legal action will be taken against them following an investigation.

The adviser said this while addressing reporters after visiting Horticulture center in Gazipur on Monday (June 23).

He further said the government is working to protect the country's arable land.

"We are going to enact an agricultural land protection law. It is an 'Agricultural Protection' law so that agricultural land is not encroached upon. Many native fruits are disappearing from our country. So, you will make everyone aware so that everyone plants more native fruit trees."
