Father, daughter killed in Thakurgaon road crash

A man and his daughter were killed when a bus hit a CNG-run three-wheeler on the Thakurgaon-Panchagarh highway in the Bhulli area of the district on Tuesday morning (June 24).

The deceased were identified as Ashraful Islam (50), and his daughter Rubaiya Khatun (15), a ninth-grade student of Boda Pilot Girls High School.

Bhulli police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saiful Islam confirmed the matter.

Police and local sources said a Dhaka-bound passenger bus, heading towards Panchagarh, hit their three-wheeler from behind near Khoshbazar Madrasa area, leaving Ashraful dead and Rubaiya dead.
