Train hits youth to death in Jhenaidah

A youth was killed after being hit by a freight train Kaliganj of Jhenaidah on Friday (June 27).

The deceased was known as Mehedi Hasan, 26, son of Muktar Hossain.

Locals said that the victim was mentally sick. He recently came home after taking treatment in Pabna mental hospital.

Mehedi Hasan was crushed under the train at the Mobarakganj Railway Station yard around 5:30 am.

Mobarakganj Railway Station master Arup Biswas confirmed the matter.
