Son arrested for killing father in Lakshmipur 

RAB has arrested Mamun, 35, in a case in connection with the murder of Hazrat Ali Gazi (75) in Raipur of Lakshmipur.

This information was given at a press conference at RAB-11 Noakhali camp on Monday (June 30). 

Earlier, he was arrested on Sunday night in front of Dhakeshwari temple in the capital. 

Hazrat Ali Gazi was hacked to death on the night of June 11. In this incident, the elder brother of the deceased, Nur Hossain Gazi, filed a murder case with Raipur police station, accusing Mamun. 

RAB-11 Noakhali camp company commander (acting) and senior assistant superintendent of police Mithun Kumar Kundu said Mamun is a drug addict.
