BSF pushes 48 into Bangladesh through Moulvibazar border

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) pushed 78 more people into Bangladesh through Pallathal border under Barlekha Upazila of the Moulvibazar border early Thursday (July 3).

According to BGB sources, 341 people were pushed through Barlekha Upazila, 10 through Juri Upazila, 21 through Kulaura Upazila, 19 through Srimangal Upazila, and 61 through Kamalganj Upazila.

In addition, several hundred more people entered through the border, but the BGB or local administration could not detain them.

BGB 52 Battalion Commander Lt Col Mohammad Ariful Haque Chowdhury said that legal action is being taken against the detainees after the confirmation of their identities.
