Ex-PS to State Minister Zakir Hossain arrested 

The Detective Branch (DB) of Kurigram district police has arrested Rashedul Islam Rashed, former political private secretary (PS) to former State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain.

A team of the DB, acting on secret information, arrested Rashed from the PTI area of the town on Thursday noon. 

Rashedul Islam is also a cousin of the former state minister. He is a resident of Mondalpara area under Roumari upazila of the district, police said at a press release.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the DB, Md Bozlar Rahman confirmed the arrest and said he was involved in various crimes and terrorist activities during the fascist regime.
