Efforts underway to bring back old system: Nahid 

Convener of the National Citizens Party (NCP) Md Nahid Islam has said that efforts are underway to bring back the old system and occupation in the country.

The NCP leader made the allegation on Thursday after paying respects at July martyrs Sajjad Hossain’s grave and Rubel’s grave and visiting the Urdu-speaking camp in Syedpur in in Nilphamari on  Thursday.

He commented that even after the mass uprising of 2024, all the hopes of the people have not been fulfilled. 

He said, “We thought that after this uprising, the discrimination-free and democratic Bangladesh will be built. But still efforts are being made to bring back that old system and occupation.” 

The NCP delegation included Senior Joint Convenor Samanta Sharmin, Joint Member Secretary Dr. Tasnim Zarah, Southern Region Chief Organizer Hasnat Abdullah, and Northern Region Chief Organizer Sarjis Alam led prayers at the gravesites.
