Bangladesh supporters will run the country: Nahid

National Citizen Party (NCP) convener Md. Nahid Islam has said, “This is not Hasina’s Bangladesh,  after the mass uprising it is now the students and the people’s Bangladesh. The country will remain in the hands of Bangladesh  supporters.” 

The NCP leader said this at a pre-scheduled roadshow program on Thakurgaon bus stand premises on Friday noon (July 4).

Nahid Islam said, "BSF kills people by shooting indiscriminately on the borders. At the same time, we see that Indian Muslims are being pushed into Bangladesh by being called illegal immigrants. We want to warn you that this is not Hasina's Bangladesh, this is the Bangladesh of the students and people after the mass uprising. Bangladesh will continue to be run by pro-Bangladeshis. We will stop the genocide on the borders at any cost. Economic discrimination against the neglected districts of North Bengal, including Thakurgaon district, will not continue."

NCP coordinator for northern region Sarjis Alam and coordinator for southern region Hasnat Abdullah were also present.
