Mother-son-daughter beaten to death: No case filed yet

A mother and her son and a daughter were beaten to death in a mob attack in Muradnagar upazila of Cumilla on Thursday morning.

No case was filed yet after it passed 24 hours. Police are looking for the members of the family.

On Friday (July 4), Bangra Bazar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Mahfuzur Rahman said that the family members may file a case with the police station today. The wife of the deceased Russel said  she will file a case today. If no one comes forward, the police will file a case.

Meanwhile, according to the forensic department of Cumilla Medical College Hospital, the autopsy of three bodies began around 12 noon on Friday. The bodies will be handed over to their family after the autopsy. 

The incident occurred around 9:30am in Koraibari village under Bangra police station. The deceased were identified as Roksana Akter Ruby, 58, her daughter Jonaki Akter, 32, and her son Md Russel Mia, 35.

They were beaten to death, accusing them of stealing mobile phones and dealing in drugs.
