Rail communication with Khulna resumes after 6 hours

Rail communication between Khulna and other parts of the country resumed, six hours after services were suspended due to the derailment of a freight train bound for Chuadanga near Utholi railway station in Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga.

Train communication returned to normal after the rescue operation was completed around 11:15pm, confirmed Mintu Roy, station master of Utholi in Chuadanga.

Earlier, the derailment occurred near Utholi railway station on Friday around 5:30 pm when the train was heading towards Darshana.
