8 burnt in Dinajpur gas cylinder blast

At least eight people suffered burn injuries after a gas cylinder caught fire during a leakage repair at a house in Dinajpur town on Saturday afternoon.
The incident happened in the house of Mahbub Rahman in Kalitola area of the town.
The burned people have been referred to National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute for better treatment.
The injured are identified as Riaz Uddin, 20, Rubina Akhter, 45, Moloy Chandro, 30, Amida Rani, 46, Shahjahan Kabir,60, Shirin Akhter, 45, Saccha, 13, and Sajib, 26.
A new gas cylinder was brought from a shop at the house. A leakage was found, and during the repair work, the cylinder suddenly caught fire, leaving them burnt. All the victims were taken to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital for treatment.
