Indefinite transport strike begins in Sylhet

The Sylhet District Road Transport Owners-Workers Unity Council has begun an indefinite transport strike in Sylhet, pressing for six six-point demands.

The strike started at 6:00 am on Tuesday (July 8).

Earlier, Sylhet District Road Transport Owners Workers Unity Council formally announced the strike in a press conference in Sylhet on Monday evening.

Vehicles involved in transporting HSC examinees, patients will remain out of the purview of the strike, said the transport leaders.
