Another CU student found dead at sea beach

Another Chittagong University student has been found dead while one more victim has remained missing at a beach in Cox’s Bazar.

The deceased was identified as Asif Ahmed, first-year student at the Department of Development Studies.

The recovered body was identified by the victim’s brother, said police.

Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police Inspector Md Abdul Mukit said one of our team recovered the body from Samitipara beach area of Cox’s Bazar municipality ward number 1.

Earlier on Tuesday (July 8), three Chittagong University (CU) students – KM Sadman Rahman Sabab, Aritra Hasan and Asif Ahmed went missing while bathing in the Bay of Bengal near Himchhari beach in Cox’s Bazar. After a while, Sadman’s body washed ashore.
