The High Court has ordered the reinstatement of Md. Sharif Uddin, an official of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in Chattogram.
At the same time, the court also ordered ACC to return all salaries, allowances and other benefits of the dismissal period.
A two-member bench of Justice Md Rezaul Hasan and Justice Biswajit Debnath passed the order on Wednesday noon (July 9).
Sharif Uddin had been serving at the ACC's Chattogram Integrated District Office since 2019.
He became well-known for his active role in investigating various sensational issues, including corruption in land acquisition in the Cox's Bazar and Chittagong regions. Later, on February 16, 2022, the ACC suddenly fired him without giving any reason.
