8 placed on 3-day remand over Muradnagar murder

A court in Cumilla has placed eight accused on a three-day remand each in connection with the killing of three members of a family in Muradnagar upazila.

Judge Muminul Haque of Cumilla session and session judge court-11 passed the order on Wednesday (July 9).

The accused are - local union council chairman Shimul Billal and member Bachchu Mia, Rabiul Awal, Atiqur Rahman (42), Bayez Master (43), Dulal (45), Akash (24), Md. Sabir Ahmed (48) and Nazimuddin Babul (56).

The accused were produced before the court around 11:30 am seeking seven days remand. Meanwhile, the court accepted a three-day remand, said Court Inspector Sadekur Rahman.
