Primary schools in 4 upazilas of Noakhali closed

Continuous rain and onrush of upstream water have caused floods and waterlogging in Noakhali. 

In such a situation, to avoid sufferings, classes have been closed in all primary schools in 4 upazilas of the district. 

Along with this, the secondary level half-yearly exams in four upazilas have been postponed. 

Noakhali Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Israt Nasima Habib confirmed this on Wednesday (July 9) night. 

She said, “Primary schools were closed on Wednesday on the occasion of Ashari Purnima. To avoid sufferings due to waterlogging caused by continuous rains, all primary schools in Noakhali Sadar, Companiganj, Kabirhat and Surbanchar upazilas have been declared closed from July 10 to 12.”
